I don't know what kind of slow cooker was used for the original recipe, but I used a 4.1 lb chicken and follewed the recipe to the letter and my chicken was so overcooked! It had great flavor though. I will probably make it again, but will definitely change the cooking time. Until then, I won't rate it very high as is.

Chop some fresh herbs (rosemary, parsley, oregano with some fresh garlic. Add a little olive oil to form a paste. Rub under skin of chicken before cooking. YUM!

This was my first time with a whole chicken in the crock pot, and it definitely won't be the last! I couldn't believe how tender it came out. I literally had to scoop the pieces out of the pot with a spoon b/c it was falling apart. The kids devoured it and the sauce was super easy and delicious. And it is so versatile - you can easily change the flavors to whatever!

I was looking forward to a great meal w/ my family after reading all the great reviews, but was really disappointed. I added a cup of stock at others' suggestion, which resulted in plenty of juices for the gravy. The flavor of the dish was completely bland. Yes, the meat was falling off the bone, but it was too moist- almost mushy. I will not be making this again.

This recipe was really good and easy. The chicken is so moist and tasty! I added some chicken stock to the gravy to mellow out the flavor a bit along with some flour to thicken it. Serve with some garlic mash potatoes and you got a real comfort food meal.

It was moist and had plenty of sauce.
The flavor was excellent and even my daughters loved it. We used 4 chicken
breasts on the bone and it still worked. It really was as easy as they said. Thanks for a great and easy meal that works just as well the next day.

This recipe is quick, easy, and tastey. It makes enough to use the leftovers in another meal later in the week. A bigger chicken is definitely better than a smaller one. A smaller one still has good flavor but can get a little dry.

This is one of my favorite ways to make a great chicken dinner. So easy to make and have all ingredients stored in my kitchen. The smell of dinner cooking in the crockpot will make you so hungry! This is also a heart friendly meal. You will enjoy this too!
