    These cheesy mashed potatoes are a great side dish and something I definitely will make again. I added 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder and substituted Half & Half for the heavy cream. Yummy!

    These were the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. I will never make plain 'ole mashed taters again!! Everyone at my dinner party raved about them. Thanks for another great recipe Emeril!!

    I tried this recipe a few years ago for Thanksgiving....its been a staple on our T-day table ever since!!!

    Be sure to buy quality smoked gouda and NOT the processed version!

    great taste and perfect texture--just make sure to cut the gouda up small enough or it won't melt completely
