I made this tonight and the whole family loved it, even our 10-yr old "critic"! I used Eckrich Smoked Sausage and followed the recipe as stated. It was easy and delicious, I highly recommend this one!

I followed the recipe as written and it was delicious. It was a nice change but I think I prefer pork cooked to 140 (ala Alton Brown nice and juicy with a little pink. Good recipe but probably won't make again.

Delicious decreased the amount of oil, flour, and chicken broth, omitted the water and very glad I did. There was still plenty of gravy and it was just a titch thin. I used pork tenderloin sliced into chops and next time I would use pork steak instead because that cut of meat is always fall off the bone fork tender with simmering. Lastly, I didn't use any potatoes, but next time will make a pot of rice for that gravy. This is definitely a keeper.

This was terrible. I do not know why he would choose to overcook the pork chops so much so that the potatoes would be done. It was a watery mess. I strained most of the cooking liquid down the drain so that there would be a decent sauce. The average cook could not have rescued this recipe. bad bad bad bad

The whole family enjoyed the flavour and the pork chops were very tender. The sausage adds an extra dimension and overall we found this dish to have a great homey taste. Perfect for a winter evening with fresh snow outside like is coming down right now...I'll stop and pick up some ingredients on my way home.

This was so delicious, the pork chops were very tender and instead of 8 chops I added 2 extra and it still came out great. Thank you Emeril!

This was a really good dinner. I used to make pork chops for my kids (years ago using cream of mushroom soup. This was the same idea, only a LOT better. I didn't end up having the sausage to use, but I am not sure how much that effected the dish. The onions virtually disappeared into the gravy, and my grandkids loved it and never knew the onions were there. This was NOT bland or boring, perhaps that reviewer missed the salt and pepper? Or did not do the roux correctly, but it was very good!
