I like this recipe but didn't love the aftertaste the shortening caused. I may try this again substituting shortening for butter.

OMG, these are so delicious. I have made 6 dozen in the past week and ....they are ALL GONE. These are so forgiving and keep so well and are the perfect texture and softness after 4 days (after that I wouldn't know!! I love the warming in the taster idea....I used the nutmeg and Vanilla in the eggs.....I can't say enough. I usually screw up cookies and they get hard around the edges. These were perfection, every batch. MAKE 'EM, you won't be sorry. I am making them at Xmas time too, thanks!

These are excellent warm out of the oven or toaster afterwards. Great with a glass of milk or even coffee, especially for dunking. Chances are you have all the ingredients to make them. Try adding a splash of pure vanilla.

These Snickerdoodle's are the best I have had so far. I took them to a party and they disappered quickly amongst an entire table of sweet snacks! Use a small ice cream scoop to make perfect sized balls for very professional looking (and tasting cookies!
