Normally, one would shy away from a plate with a very busy palate, but this blends a variety of seemingly incompatible herbs into a fireworks show for the taste buds. Wow. i substituted almonds in making this for a company luncheon because of cost (all the fresh herbs and other ingredients still cost about $25, not counting what I already had on hand. And since I was making it for a buffet-style potluck, I mixed the chives and nuts right into the salad.

The snow peas and shrimp are merely the base for this salad. What really makes it come alive are the herbs. One minute, you might taste cilantro; another provides a nice bouquet of mint. Then, crunch! In mixes an almond or a bit of papaya. Or you might get a crispy piece of watercress combining with the boiled shrimp (which I also shocked in ice water after boiling to preserve flavor and texture. I would put the dish up with any salad offered in the five-star restaurants where I have been fortunate enough to eat.

The one criticism I have is it needs a little of the Anne Burrell treatment; I thought it wasn't salty enough. But I still received good reviews at work for it and will make it again.

Shrimp, snowpeas and celantro. 3 of my favorites.Makes for an excellent salad. Because of all the ingrediants, takes time to prepare.

A very tasty salad. Makes a generous portion. I did not have any Snow Peas, but used Snap Peas instead. The dressing is outstanding! LMyers, Texas

This salad is very good. I am very discriminating and loved this. The dressing is amazing - not to be missed - even on another salad. Try it - you won't be disappointed.
