    Never made Fried Chicken before this.......... I really love this..... after reading other recipes I decided to add a little bit of hot sauce to the egg mix....... my family loved it!!!!!!!!!

    Just ok. The recipe never mentioned how much Essence to use. It didn't have a kick. Subtle flavors. Not horrible but there are other chicken recipes out there. The gravy did nothing for me.

    This is the second EL recipe in which he fails to indicate how MUCH "Essence" to add to the mix. We ate a ruined chicken because of this problem.

    My family is full of picky eaters and this recipe pleased them all. I used chicken breasts and punded them into cuttlets. paired it with homemade mac and cheese and everyone was happy. Thanks Emeril.

    This is a great way to fry up some chicken. I love seasoning them first with salt and cayenne pepper. It really gives the chicken a great zing. My husband raved for this dish. Although I do like to add chicken broth to my gravy to give it a bit more flavor.
