I love love love this recipe!! I prepared it exactly the way the recipe is written. On the skewer I added onion and cherry tomatoes in between. My family devoured it! It's a keeper!

This is truly an outstanding recipe. I started by just using some of the marinade ingredients, thinking they would not all meld well, until now I use all except the cayenne and IT IS AWESOME! The taste is exceptional and I have used it for just vegetables as well as fish, thank you Emeril you are the best. By the way, if using shrimp do be careful as Emeril says, because if you leave the marinade for too long the shrimp and fish will start to cook in the lemon juice.

Let me start out by saying I like my shrimp fried, any other way it just doesn't seem to have a deep flavor. This recipe had the shrimp flavorable All the way through. I like spicy so I did a few things different. Used serreros instead of jalapeno, kept the veins and seeds in it. I also marenaded it for about 45 min to a hour. Man the flavor!!!! I didn't think it was that spicy at all but my boyfriend did. Throw it on a bed of rice or pasta or in a flour tortilla and it take away the heat a little. I found this recipe almost two weeks ago and I've made it three times and just bought some more shrimp today. I would reccommend not going any smaller then the large shrimp. You'll keep coming back for more

This was the BOMB. I got some large jumbo tiger shrimp, or something like that, at Costco today. They were already deveined, but I left the skin on when marinating and BBQing. I also let it marinade for about 2 hours at room temperature. Will definitely be making this again...maybe even tomorrow : Huge hit with the fiancé, too, who loves all things from the sea. He kept asking me, "so what's in this again?" : I am not a huge shrimp fan, either, so good shrimp with a good marinade = recipe for success. I skipped the bean relish because I didn't have the ingredients. I think I'll try it next time.

This was superb. Perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. Be very careful not to overcook the shrimp. I used fairly large shrimp and only had to cook it 2 minutes per side on the grill. I didn't make the black bean relish. The shrimp were perfect by themselves. I think they would also be wonderful for shrimp tacos or on top of grits. They are amazing!!

This needs more than 5 stars. I often avoid Emeril's recipes, sometimes they just involve more ingredients, more methods than I want to fool with. But this was very straight up, easy to produce with ingredients I could easily access in my small town. It was so delicious, I can't tell you how good it was!!!I I used honey rather than brown sugar (either was recommended. I prepped everything early in the afternoon, peeled the shrimp but didn't put them into the marinade until I was heating the grill. The salsa is more of a salad, very plentiful. All I added to the meal was a baguette. He says don't overcook, and we were careful not to do that. I can't wait to make this again. A wonderful recipe, a wonderful dish. Make for company, make for family.

Absolutely fantastic. A total crowd pleaser. I've made this twice, exactly as written, except that I cooked the shrimp 2 minutes per side rather than 3. Everyone LOVED them. Not a bite left. I found that it does require more skewers and serves more people than called for, but that's certainly not a bad thing! Everyone asks for the recipe. Will make again and again. Great recipe to prepare ahead for a no fuss party.

simple & tasty. Picked this recipe out for a friend to make that is not that comfortable in the kitchen and does not venture out to eat shrimp.
We all loved this recipe and she went back for thirds. She thought it was a very easy recipe to prepare and she ate 3 skewers of the shrimp. Will make again. Using the recipe tonight to marinade pork chops
