I put the peppers and garlic in the vodk7 days before my dinner party. The vodka was so incredibly spicy that no one (out of 10 people could stand it! And, not only was it just too darn spicey, but the flavor was just something that no one wanted to drink. We even tried thowing half the peppered vodka out, and replacing it with plain vodka. Still, it was inpalatable. I was disappointed, as I had to throw the entire bottle of good quality vodka away!

Honestly, my family and I had doubts about this. We are huge lovers of Bloody Marys so I decided that I just had to try it. Simply put, AMAZING! Put aside your doubts and make it now!

The only thing I would recommend, and this is hard because I love garlic as well, but cut the recipe to 1.5 cloves instead of 2.

This is a must try in a Bloody Mary!

I prepared the vodka for this recipe almost 2 weeks before making the martini for my boyfriend, who loves anything blazing hot. I made this martini complete with jalapeno stuffed olives for him this past Saturday and his reaction was "WOW!" - he had never had a martini like it. I also prepared this recipe for my boyfriend's friend on Super Bowl Sunday and he was "knocked out" by it saying it was spicy hot and really smooth. Thank you so much for this recipe Emeril!
