    This was quite excellent though eating deep fried bacon seems somewhat perverse - but it was yummy. This would be a great starter dish but we used it for our main course by adding a few more chicken livers to the skewers. Super easy to make and you can make the dressing and skewers well ahead of time. A word of warning on the shallots --- I can still taste them in my mouth (and I used VERY little 24 hours and many brushings later. Next time I will carmelize them a bit first or leave them out all together.
