Outstanding, easy to prepare and my family liked it!! One could cut the meat by 1/2 and the recipe still works beautifully...
We will use this one again.

I read a lot of the reviews before I made this, and I doubled the sauce and used it as a marinade overnight. The issue is that the hoisin was overwhelming, and the sauce itself was way too sweet. The dish was passable the night I made it, but the leftovers had to be tossed. The sauce got thick after being refrigerated, and the ginger and hoisin were overpowering. I will not repeat this recipe.

I added celery, carrots and white onions.,,,plus sliced water chestnuts.. Then, it was a meal. I marinated the beef the night before and that made alot of difference.

I also doubled the sauce recipe-but it tastes like something is missing. I used low sodium soy sauce, maybe it's the salt thats missing. Also I think there is a little too much ginger in it. I might make it again.

you do need lots more sauce for this, but it's pretty tasty. i doubled the sauce recipe and it turned out great. also since i used a flank steak for the strips, i cut them up a few hours ahead of time and marinaded them in soy sauce and some lime juice - that way they stayed nice and juicy and tender while the brocolli cooked. like lots of reviews i read, i too subbed the chinese vinegar for rice wine vinegar, and just used the generic honey that was in my fridge.

Instead of doubling the sauce (like other reviewers suggested I just halved the broccoli and beef. It ended up making about 4 servings. I thought it was pretty good for how easy it was to make. It doesn't say where to add in the red pepper but I put it in the sauce as other's suggested. If you are intimidated making stir fry this might be something good to start out with.

I read the comments and doubled the sauce as suggested and it turned out very good. Even my Chinese husband agreed.

This recipe is a favorite of my family. My 4 and 6 yr olds both love it and previously would not try broccoli. The only think I do different is warm the sauce in a pan to keep everything in a liquid state. Awesome and Easy meal.

Big fan of EMERIL have most of your cook books and most of your cookware. But I must say this is one of your worst recipes. Not enough sauce, Incredibly bad taste, used all of the ingredients you called for including black vinegar. And orange blossam honey. Would never make it again.
