The cake was so fluffy and sweet, and the flavors all blended together wonderfully. I made it for my family and they LOVED it.

What makes this recipe is the addition of the Grand Marnier-I halfed the recipe as we didn't need that much and it was perfect. Would probably cut back on the sugar next time.

It was so tasty! Easy to make. I only made the cake and whipped topping. Followed instructions only difference was I added lemon zest to the batter like another viewer suggested, and wow; it was great! I'm even saving it for a cake recipe because it's more of a cake than a biscuit. Very moist, not too sweet.

Had to cut sugar amount by 1/3. Also didn't add the orange-flavored liqueur since I made it for my daughter's birthday. Cake was very dense (almost pound cake consistency and dry. I don't know if the reason that it's not moist is due to the liqueur. Anyone have any ideas?

I will try this again and cut the amount of sugar in both the berry mixture and the cake. It was way too sweet! The cake is a great sponge cake consistency for shortcake and the orange liquer added the orange flavor without overpowering
the strawberries. Overall very good but cut the amount of sugar at least by one third.

Great simple recipe. Easy to make. However, I added vanilla extract and lemon zest to the cake. I didn't know whipped cream was so easy to make. I will never buy pre-made whipped cream again...

I really enjoyed the addition of the orange liqueur and orange zest to the strawberries, but the cake just didn't turn out the way I was hoping it would. It tasted very egg-y, and was a lot more spongy than I wanted. I was looking for something softer and fluffier, not a sponge cake.
