This was the best pork roast we've ever eaten. Lots of steps involved but worth the effort. The gravy was superb! This recipe is definitely a keeper in our home!!

The pork itself was tender, probably because baked in water. The gravy was awful. Threw it away and just poured a jar of store barbecue sauce over it.

My family loved this. Could only find a pork roast at 3 pounds but it was plenty for 4 adults and one teenager. We had it with boiled new potatos. Next time, I plan on using the imersion blender on the gravy before I add the mushrooms for a smoother gravy. Would make again.

I normally avoid recipes with multiple steps and long cooking times. This recipe is totally worth the extra effort. The gravy is the best. The pork is tender and amazing. Served with mashed potatoes, it is really fantastic.

Although it is very time consuming, this recipe is worth every minute!!! The pork melts in your mouth, but the best is the gravy. It's intoxicating. I will serve it with mashed potatoes smothered in that gravy and braised lettuce. I wish my pork roast was twice the size, because this is going to disappear in a few days!!! As usual, Emeril comes through. (May I also suggest his Cream of Wild Mushroom soup. I had the pleasure of attending a taping of Emeril Live years ago, and he made that soup! It might be a bit expensive to make, but it's well worth ti!

This recipe was delicious. I will make it again. The gravy was amazing. Best gravy I've ever made. I'm not good at making my own roux so I used a can of mushroom soup as the base for the gravy.
