I had been looking for a great recipe for lemon squares and have found it. Once you get the ingredients together, it is fine, but took me a while to get all the pieces done. I love the shortbread crust. The lemon curd is the perfect blend of sweet and sour. For those who omitted the limoncello, add it in next time. I agree with the powdered sugar tip - don't put it on until you are ready to serve. You may also want to serve with a dollop of fresh whipped cream.

I love lemon bars, but these were just way too tart. And the shortbread wasn't great either. I've had better.

First recipe from Emeril that I've tried. The bars were great - very lemony and easy to make. I used the food processor for my crust and it turned out great.

Very easy to make. I'm not sure if this is the best crust. It seemed a little dry. It was mostly powdery when I pressed it into the pan. The filling was EXCELLENT !! I would say the combination was perfect. Not too sweet or sour. You need to use real lemon juice. I omitted the optional Lemoncello.

These Lemon bars are fantastic, I served them for my Easter dessert and they were a hit. If you like lemons this is the one for you. I found the recipe easy and held up really well. Fresh squeezed lemon juice is the key, I did use the liquer but it is not neccessary. I also served it with fresh raspberries.

Seemed a little complicated at first, but once I had all the ingredients and got started it all fell into place. Plus, I trust Emeril totally. The fresh juice and zest really make all the difference. I gave these out to the hospice aides who care for my mom-in-law and they asked for more plus the recipe the next day. I did eliminate the liquer for the sake of my mom-in-law and I really don't think it hurt this recipe one bit. I'm making it again for a family picnic this weekend. Thank you so much Emeril! We love ya in West Texas!
