Well this is a recipe that scared me because of the crust I was leary. But I should have known that Emeril would not stear me the wrong way. I would have to say that the pecans in the crust is the missing flavor of most Sweet Potato Pies I have had in recent years. It adds a woodsy downhome flavor...It was a really nice touch to a old favorite. Thanks a Million Emeril.

I've been making this pie for about 4 years now, and it never fails to be a hit. The cane syrup was a bit difficult to find, but one bottle lasts forever. The recipe usually yields 2 pies.

Great easy recipe for the Holidays. I was unable to find the cane syrup so I substituted corn syrup. Great tasting and easy to prepare.
Thanks,

I followed this recipe and it came out pretty good. I usually make sweet potato pies using a similar recipe only instead of heavy cream I used sweetened condensed milk. I think the sweetened condensed milk makes the pies come out with a sweeter taste and the heavy cream kind of drowns out the sweetness per following the recipe by the numbers but it still came out good.

This recipe for sweet potato pie was a big hit for thanksgiving, my sister and I kicked it up a notch with a tablespoon of dark rum.
