I MADE it and LOVED the taste. And I totally wish Food Network would ban those rating and commenting when they either changed the entire recipe completely, or haven't even made it yet. You people do the rest of us a dis-service, and obviously just have a need to be heard for some reason. And that goes for the positive comments as well as the negative ones! You people defeat the whole purpose for rating the dishes, and SHOULD BE BANNED!!!! I'm not talking about the people that have made it correctly the first time and the altered it, we all appreciate those reviews and suggestions.

I was really pleased with the results from this recipe. After reading the reviews prior to making the meal I decided to take the advice and use less salt as others have mentioned. Half the salt & it still has plenty of flavor. I highly recommend this recipe if you're lookig for a quick & simple shrimp dinner that isn't saucy.

Even when I followed the directions & basted the shrimp throughout the whole cooking process they still weren't "saucy." Great flavor, good spice. I will say, it took a little longer than the three minutes on each side it called for but this is most likely because of my grill & weather conditions. Once the shrimp start curling you're getting really close to them being done.

    Enjoy

Liked it a lot! The marinade was great, but it was a little saltier than I would have liked. I couldn't really taste the coconut either, but that may have been because I used the juice from a fresh coconut, instead of coconut milk from a can. If I was going to make this again, I'd use about half the salt, and twice the coconut juice. Other than those two things, the dish was a big hit. I'd definitely recommend it. Thanks Emeril!

This by far is the tastiest way to make shrimp skewers! It will leave your taste buds begging for more. We will definitely be having this again and telling our friends about it!

I recently had a pary at my home with a large group of people. I had made several different types of skewers for the occasion, but none that I made were as big of a hit as these Thai Marinated Skewered Shrimp. It was the first thing we ran out of, and almost all of the guests were asking for the recipes. Even one guest that is a huge entertainer, and cook herself wanted the recipe. I could have taken all the credit, but alas...i gave credit were credits due, and told them i got it in the Food Network website. Good Job Emeril

This is delicious! It is very spicy so if you don't like it super hot, just add less of the srirachi. Also, you can use light coconut milk if you want less cals.

Oh my goodness! Let me tell you .... our friends went crazy over the shrimp! For those who doesn't like shrimp tried it and LOVED it! The only thing I did differently on this recipe is that I marinated over night. If you don't have that much time I would just do it for couple of hours. All of the flavors are amazing. It's very different from the boring grilled shrimp that most are used to!

I marinated the shrimp for over 1 hour and could only taste lime and spiciness. I couldn't taste any coconut or ginger, and was disappointed in this recipe. I would not make this again.

This is an awesome receipe...I make extra of the sauce and put it over pasta and throw the shrimp in and it makes a wonderful main dish.
