I usually leave out the Essence, because I'm not fond of the flavour, but this time I wish I'd put some in - it was very boring. I also should have tripled the amount of fresh thyme it called for.

This might be better with Rachel Ray's rosemary-mushroom gravy on top.

Fed my hungry family of five with everyone smacking their lips. Really felt like a completely different meal, but with most of the same foods. Perfect post Thanksgiving!

My husband doesn't really sit still for eating leftovers for days and days and he loved this dish. It was hearty and delicious. I was even able to use the meat off my turkey legs. I recommend english peas. My husband had a construction crew working on our porch and when I turned the exhaust fan on they were begging to have some of it. It served way more than 4 to 6 people. The three construction workers each had big helpings along with myself. I took a container for a friend to try and I had leftovers today. Delicous. This is going to be a regular for our family.

Used up half my leftover turkey and all the potatoes, and this really came out tasting much better than I imagined after reading the recipe. My daughter loved it and said she's going to have it for breakfast too!! The only thing I did differently was substituting canned mushrooms (yuck because I didn't have any fresh and didn't want to go to the store just for one item. It would have been even better with fresh mushrooms, but it was still very good and it looked pretty too with the cheese and parsley on top. Thanks Emeril!! =

I improvised just a little bit on this and put my leftover stuffing in the bottom of the baking dish, then the rest of the recipe as written. It was phenomenal with or without gravy over it!! My husband and I actually think it is as good as the Thanksgiving day meal...with a lot less clean-up, and the kids loved it too.

Made this for a post-tax day Turkey dinner party and it was a hit! Many people were wary of 'Shepard's Pie', but the combination of spices and flavor worked extremely well. Can't wait for more leftover turkey.

My 7 & 9 yr old daughters asked for leftovers for 2 more nights and finished their plates every night. It was tasty and sooooo filling. We didn't have left over turkey, so I used 1 lb of ground. When I browned it, I seasoned with garlic salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. I also had some left over gravy that I tossed in and it was yummy. Cover your ears Emeril, but I used instant potatos and that was a real time saver too.

This was so good...great as leftovers too! I made a few substitutions. I had left over rotisserie chicken and used that instead of turkey. I ran out of tomato paste, so I used a little ketchup and worchestershire sauce. I used 1/4 tsp. dried thyme instead of fresh. It was so good. Easy too!
