A great recipe! I have made it several times and it has always been a hit. I do prefer it with an aged and dry chorizo sausage, and it works very well with leftover turkey picked off the carcass. A new tailgating favorite for those games after Thanksgiving. Thanks, Emeril!

This chili is great for tailgates its just spicy enough to please even the mildest palates with the addition of hot sausage.

My husband and I had a blast making this recipe together. It is the best chili we've had in a while. The combination of spices makes this recipe so delicious and it smells yummy just cooking it. We had the chili in some bread bowls, it was a perfect meal. It tastes great reheated, as we took some to a football game days later in a mug. We used both pinto and kidney beans and it turned out awesome. You have to try it!
