    I made this exactly as the recipe stated and we found it to not be to our likeing. I should have suspected....the first step is to brown (burn? flour in a VERY large amount of vegtable oil. Make sure your stove is vented outside or you'll end up with a smoky house.

    I loved this gumbo! It was incredibly flavorful with the homemade turkey stock! It was pretty time consuming, but very simple! I also used the turkey stock to make the rice that accompanies the gumbo. Just brings all the flavors together even more!! Try this recipe! You'll love it!

    I found this recipe rather easy to do. It was a fun thing to do with leftover turkey. Not the same old same old...

    It was even better after sitting in the Fridge for a couple of days. All the flavors melded and it was just plain yummy.
