I am rating this recipe as it is printed, NOT after making adjustments.
I found these to be verrry sweet and a having very light oat taste. If you are looking for a sweet oatmeal raisin cookie this is a good recipe. These did bake up nicely and had a soft slightly chewy texture. I chose to do drop cookies.
I will be changing the recipe to include more raisins, more oats and less white sugar for a chewier cookie.

the process was easy but when it came down to do the snake or the prezet it was difficult at the end it was easier to make little balls or drops rather the twist..i think the title is the twist to the recipe that you cant do the twist on the cookies

These were horrible. The recipe calls for oatmeal, which is cooked oats. It should have called for "rolled oats" instead. I added rolled oats to the remaining batter and cooked about 17 mins (drop cookies. They were OK. I am rating the recipe as it is written and as baked in the first batch.

I made these last night and they are delicious!! My husband loves them too. I used salted butter, made them as drop cookies and baked them for about 14 minutes. They came out great =

Most delicious and tasty oatmeal cookies I've ever had!! I've tried other recipes since and they just don't taste as good as these cookies. Sometimes I will switch up the raisins for chocolate chips which also taste great!!

Easy receipe, delicious cookies but you could definitely taste the sugar more than the oatmeal or raisins.

I'm always searching for the best oatmeal raisin cookie recipe and this one delivered with just a few additions. One of my pet peeves is that most oatmeal raisin cookie recipes don't specify enough cinnamon. I increased the cinnamon to 2 tsps, which added nice flavor (it definitely wasn't too much and I also added 1 cup of finely chopped walnuts. I used the food processor so the nuts were very small and they blended in nicely. The cookies were wonderful and enjoyed by all taste testers. I'll keep this recipe as my #1 fav for now.

I added some chopped up apple, 2 cups of coconut and made the sugar and brown sugar to a cup and 1 extra tsp of water and alot more cinnamin! you can pretty much do what you want with this recipe, it makes a good base oatmeal cookie dough.

This was my first attempt at Oatmeal Raisin cookies and they are the best I have ever had. I read some other recipes and the amount of flour varied so I added two "loose" cups of flour.. meaning.. I didn't pack it into the cup so it was a little less than 2 full cups. The only thing I would change is adding at least a 1/2 cup more of raisins. I also used a scooper to make things easier. Other than that.. these were great!!!!

I made these cookies back before Christmas (2009 and really like them. I have made them about three times since then and even my grandkids raved about them! I don't "twist" the dough...I just bake them as a regular cookie and they come out great every time. I'm not sure why anyone would have problems baking these...the recipe is simple and you can't mess them up! In fact...I am getting ready to make a batch now...happy eating!
