This recipe was not impressive at all (this is only for the veal shanks, did not make the sweet potatoes. The veal and rum just did not seem to go well together, although this is probably a very subjective preference. It was an interesting dish worthy of trying, though.

Even if you have different rums in the house, when the receipe calls for Spice Rum, you cant use simply a dark rum.. even if it's a "Select" It's grosssss. My fault!!

The rum gives this recipe a special touch. It complimented the molasses-glazed turkey with sausage and bread (home made whole wheat bread made with organic ingredients and low carbohydrate cranberry sauce (recipe from Low Carb and Loving It!.
Great recipe and very easy to make!
