    I substituted beef broth for venison broth, but I did use venison meat. This turned out pretty good (my husband loved it, but it was a bit greasy for my taste. I ended up skimming almost 3/4 cup of oil of the top when it was done and it was still a bit greasy tasting. A fun way to use venison (I'm always looking for ways to use all this deer meat in my freezer!, but I wish it would have been a bit yummier.
