Only made the syrup to go with pancakes (had some rapidly aging strawberries I needed to use up. Great, and couldn't be easier! I basically put everything in a pan and ignored it for twenty minutes, with the exception of a little stirring. Like others, I used less sugar than called for - about 3/4 of a cup.

Wow, very tasty and super fluffy. The best thing about them that they're made of basic ingredients that every body can have at home. It was as easy as 123. Thanks chef for another delicious recepi.

Waffles turned out great, did not try the syrup, just used fresh fruit and whipped cream instead, don't need all that sugar in the syrup.

    Loved the waffles!

I only made the syrup - yum! Fresh berries, bottled juice & half the sugar.

This was so light and fluffy. I didn't have whole milk so I used buttermilk instead and it was perfect! With my waffle maker it yielded 5-6 not 8-10. If you have a big family you will need to double the receipt.

Light with a little sponge. Overall, a very good waffle that I will make again.

I didn't make the waffles, but I made the syrup for Thanksgiving Breakfast and it was a total HIT! Instead of just strawberries, I used raspberries and blueberries too. I used frozen instead of fresh. One cup of each with the sugar and orange zest/juice. It was PHENOMENAL! I didn't thaw the berries before making it though, but I don't think that makes a huge difference. The syrup came out just right and everyone LOVED IT!
