These waffles were very airy and fluffy. We didn't make the strawberry syrup but will definitely save the recipe for another Saturday morning!

My young family enjoyed this recipe. I used maple syrup instead of using the strawberry syrup (b/c the babies were really hungry and I didn't have time. The waffles were light, fluffy and quite tasty. I enjoy watching Emeril but never make the recipies b/c of the many steps and complexity, however this one was quick and easy and well worth it. And to think, I used to buy frozen waffles; not anymore, thanks Emeril!

As usual, you can't go wrong with a recipe from Emeril! The waffles turned out PERFECT!

typically emeril's recipes are a bit too complicated for me but this one was very simple and very good. i added a little cinnamon to the batter, but aside from that i followed it to a tee. as mentioned below this does make a lot of waffles, so unless you are feeding a lot of people you can probably trim the recipe a bit.

i didn't try the strawberry syrup this time, but i will give at a shot next time.

I cut the recipe in half because it makes so many (just me and my husband!. Still wonderful, and yes, I did add a bit more vanilla to make it extra good batter. The egg whites added such great fluff! Very very good and highly recommended!

This is so good. Fluffy and moist! I just added more vanilla just a teaspoon more for more flavor.

The strawberry syrup only needs a 1/2 cup of sugar; otherwise, the it turns out way too sweet! Also, I felt the orange after-taste was a bit overwhelming, I would cut the orange juice to 2 TB. The waffles were fluffy and tasty as-is.

This was the first waffle recipe I have ever tried and they turned out great! The waffles were light and fluffy and perfect. I added a little extra vanilla just to make the batter a touch sweeter. So good. And the syrup was so sweet and yummy. I did add about a tabesppon or 2 of cornstacrch to the syrup to make it extra thick! THANK YOU EMERILL!

This is my new favorite waffle recipe! I liked the strawberry syrup, but next time would cut back on the orange zest, as I felt it overwhelmed the strawberry flavor and I would cut the sugar to 1/2-3/4 Cup. I served these with fresh whipped cream (no sugar...yummy!
