    I made the waffle mix the night before and the morning of. I do recommend the night before. The waffles came out very light, crispy, and had a very nice taste that makes it well worth the effort.

    the strawberry syrup is easy and fun to
    make-i did cut the sugar down to 3/4 cup
    and increased the orange juice by 1 tb.
    wow...wow...syrup comes out perfect with
    just a hint of orange in the background.
    the syrup would also be great over ice
    cream

    I made this yesterday and they are delicious and fluffy! The strawberries are wonderful too (and a great way to use up ones that are a little too ripe.

    These waffles were VERY easy to make and tasted fabulous. My boys (10 & 8 helped me make them. The strawberry syrup was just as easy and tasty too.

    I made these waffles on new years day. They were very light. I used butter pecan syrup, next time I will make the strawberry syrup.
