I tried this recipe a couple times now and it's great! I always make it to take to a big dinner whenever there's turkey and everyone always loves and it asks for the recipe.

I have made this 4 or 5 times now and each time it is better. I like to make the cornbread and the wild rice the day before. I usually double the recipe. Everyone loves it.

I made a double batch of this for Thanksgiving. I used vegetable stock, made my own "Essence," and added extra fresh herbs. I also made a traditional Southern cornbread without sugar or flour, in a cast iron skillet. That might have been a mistake, as the cornbread was too dry and gritty. I ended up soaking the cooked cornbread in some buttermilk and adding a couple of eggs and more stock, but we still didn't like the cornbread. The wild rice and pecans were good, however, so I would try it again with regular bread.

Very good recipe, when I made it I didn't know it was considered a "healthy" recipe, as it seems like typical ingredients to me. Everyone loved it.

I always add more seasonings than any recipe calls for. I used the cajun spice instead of essence and more chicken stock instead of water (as another reviewer did Delish!

I made this dressing for Thanksgiving and was incredibly disappointed! The dressing was really dry-so I had to add more chicken stock-ALOT more than the recipe called for. This dressing just didn't have alot of flavor-which was suprising. This recipe was too time consuming to end up going down the disposal.

Nice change of pace for stuffing. My entire family, many of which are picky eaters, loved it!
