I thought it was good & my family said they enjoyed it as well. I should have read the reviews 1st though & even though I thought of using red wine in the sauce, I didn't. I will do that next time. The meatball recipe turned out great meatball forms, that being said, I found them a tad too bland for my taste. I think I'll use more of the Bam spice next time to liven them up.

I made this recipe exactly as written. The sauce is bland with no flavor. I will not make it again.

Absolutely delicious! Emeril's recipes never disappoint. I used ground chicken instead of beef and the meatballs turned out wonderfully. This is our new go-to spaghetti sauce. No more store-bought for us!

First, I should admit that I only made the recipe for the meatballs. I needed to make this more quickly so I used premade sauce from the grocery store.

With that said, the recipe for the meatballs was awesome. Even my 4yo son loved them. They had wonderful flavor! And we made enough to have extras for sandwiches too.

It wasn't terrible, but my traditional Ragu was better. Sorry Emeril!

After watching the show today with my 2 1/2 yr old, she all of a sudden had a voice when Emeril started on the meatballs. That's what she wanted to eat. My four year old only eats rice/pasta/mashed potatoes PLAIN with no sauce. Today I had them help me in the kitchen doing simple things and tasting with me. I didnt have Baby Bam but used Essence instead and I used a cabernat with the sauce. Let's just say........for once, my husband and kids (baby included were pleased. I am more impressed that my 4 year old loves the sauce and meatballs. It's the first time in 2 years that she had sauce or a meatball. Hands down, this recipe will be added to my cookbook and I'm gonna junk the ones that are in there now. Thanks Emeril--first kids show recipe that actually worked on my kids!!!! Your awesome "BAM"

I used ground turkey instead of ground beef, and the meatballs were GREAT! I loved the dish. It was really delicious- and it felt so authentic to eat homemade meatballs. Definitely try this recipe.

For the sauce I omitted the 2 cups of water, add the juice of the tomatoes, and added one cup of red wine. For the meatballs I added one cup of crushed italian crotons to the meatballs to lighten the meatball up.I simmered the sauce for almost three hours. The sauce turned out great, and the meatballs were so moist and tender. Thanks Emeril.

I made the sauce and was glad I read the reviews first. I held off on the water and ending up not needing any. Perhaps it's because I did not drain the tomatoes. Excellent taste and it's a keeper. Added some sauteed beef to the sauce, which created a nice meat sauce.
