I have tried this recipe numerous times as well as even adding my own cooking methods into this recipe. Either way, the meat comes out with a wonderful sear and aroma and the interior of the meat has SO much flavor and has NEVER cooked up dry on me. On top of that, the vegetables came out well seasoned and still maintained some crisp to their exterior. If you are looking for the perfect pot roast recipe to entertain your friends, family, or co-workers with, this recipe is most certainly a winner! :

The reviews were right about cutting the cooking time in half. I loved the garlic in this. The veggies were perfect too!

***Warning the cook time is Wrong***
Luckily, I read the previous reviews and I seared the meat and placed it in the oven for 1.5hrs and then added vegetables for 1.0hrs. then it was done. It didn't dry out and it wasn't under cooked; it was simply delicious.

I finally found a pot roast recipe I can keep! I loved the garlic in this. Cooking time is a bit off though so keep an eye on that.

I tried this recipe because it was simple and I had all the ingredients on hand. It was the best pot roast recipe I've ever made! The roasted garlic really made it something special, and it was all so easy to make. Thanks so much!

My first time making pot roast and the flavor was great--I'll definitely stick with this recipe...and I think using a high quality dutch oven really helped...
