    I was so disappointed. I should know better than to try a recipe for the first time when doing it for guests. It was very dry and basically had the flavor of sawdust. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone, even WITH the sauce. Thank goodness that I prepared another dessert and it received rave reviews.

    about this. I was looking for a moist deliciuos cake like ginger cake. My bad...But even though it is more bread like, it came out dry, unflavorful, and basically, not good. maybe it can be turned into french toast... Otherwise into the garbage it goes.

    This gingerbread didn't have much flavor and was a bit dry. There is no molasses in this recipe and it is obviously missing. I didn't make the sauce, so to combat the dryness I served it with warm applesauce.

    Delicious right out of the oven, better the next day. Did not make the sauce I just wanted a little taste of fall. My Mother said this took her back to her childhood.
