I have been looking for a great lentil soup recipe and have found it! It's easy and used all the leftovers I had from Christmas dinner. Instead of using the ham hocks I used the left over ham and ham bone from Christmas dinner. Absolutely wonderful! I will definitely use this recipe again!!!

Instead of ham hocks, I made this with smoked turkey sausage and didn't add it until almost the end. It was absolutely delicious! I will definitely do this one again.

I just made this yesterday. Never having used orange lentils, I was a little skeptic...THE FAMILY LOVED IT!!! The orange lentils gave it such a nice flavor, even my picky-eating 11 year old ate it!!

This soup was easy to make, the ham hocks added a lot of flavor and lots of yummy ham in the soup. Everybody in the family enjoyed this soup, even the kids!

I had been searchig for some time to find a receipt for lentil soup that came close to the one I grew up eating. Thanks to Emeril I found it. This soup was easy to prepare and taste just like mom's.
