These burger's are great, especially in the winter when you don't want to grill. We like to mix to mix things right into the patty. Blue cheese or bacon bits and cheddar work really well.

This was absolutely delicious. Who can top the late great Julia Child? Certainly not me. I will try every recipe of hers I come across and I'm certainly not sorry I tried this one. Great, great burger, I love it topped with avocado, a fried egg, bacon, pimento cheese, caramelized onion and mushrooms.. Anything you can imagine will be better if you make THIS burger the base. So versatile and my kids and hubby request it constantly.

We somehow end up moving every year and the grill doesn't always make the move. I love having this recipe to make burgers when I don't have a grill or just don't want to use it (winter, rain, etc. It's so nice to be able to make something so yummy so quickly and easily! I'm never tempted to run pick up burgers anymore- making them at home is healthier (of course and even less trouble!
