I too found the filling runny. I also thought that it would have been easier to first mix the crust in a bowl, remove 1/3 of it, and then transfer the rest of it to the pie shell. I too thought that there wasn't enough crust. All in all , I was surprised that it was a contest winner.

I have made many blueberry pies and most are too sour this one had just the right balance of flavors. I suggest warming in microwave for 20 sec and topping with natural vanilla been ice cream.

I am not a big blueberry pie person but my husband is...so I tried this recipe. It was about the easiest pie I have ever made and came out tasting like heaven. The filling was a bit runny but the taste well overcomes the sloppiness. I did add more sugar to the recipe for sweetness. Slap some vanilla bean ice cream over it and enjoy!!!!

I find that all blueberry pie recipes benefit from a touch (a scant 1/8 tsp. of ground cloves. It adds a hint of mystery yet enhances the flavor.

This is one of the best blueberry pies I have ever had, and I'm hard to please since blueberry is my favorite and I'm picky. This is a perfect pie for anyone who is too impatient to roll out pie dough, since the dough is made in the pan in about a minute. Very flaky and tasty too. Definitely recommend it!
