I've seen a lot of complaints. Mine turned out great. The funny thing is I'm only 14! It was kind of hard doing the things like rolling the dough up, but it was worth it in the end. I think this recipe is good for people that have never had pumpkin pie before. It doesn't taste like pumpkin pie that much. More like cinamin. Thank you, Emeril, for this recipe

    Absolutely fabulous!
I used margarine and half whole wheat flour, then dusted with cocoa powder after baking (instead of dark sugar for the halloween spirit. It turned out great, they look like witch fingers!

Although these cookies were delicious, they didn't turn out as I had hoped. They melted on the pan into a heap and were less than attractive when finished. In addition, they were hard to handle after cooled, as they never really hardened up. (Don't get me wrong, I like soft cookies, but given the pancake like shape and mushy texture, I almost needed a fork and plate to eat these. All in all, they were delicious to the palate, but not to the eye.

I decided to make these cookies for dessert last night and they came out great! Although the dough was difficult to work with, the cookies ended up looking pretty good. I only used 1 1/2 cups of flour as some people said to do. I served them like ice cream sandwiches and they were delicious.

I watched the episode where these were made, I followed the recipe carefully (I think, but still had a really rough time... the dough was difficult to work with, and the cookies spread like crazy on the cookie sheet while baking. They were certainly not much to look at, too fragile to handle and I couldn't give them away as gifts as planned. Plus, even though they still tasted good, there was hardly any pumpkin flavor at all. Maybe the recipe is fine and I did something wrong -- but for me it turned out to be WAY too much work for disappointing end results.

The cookies tasted wonderful, but I clearly need work on my "jelly roll" technique.

The center was much wider than the end and the dough kept breaking apart because it was too cold. When I let it warm up, I had a big glob of great tasting stuff.

I did not want to be this ambitious on my first cookie attempt!
