    Emeril, I could make out with this recipe. My husband and I are food snobs, I'm not ashamed to admit it, but this made absolutely amazing (and EASY too steak au poivre. I used my food processor to think slice the potatoes. DO NOT SKIP THE POTATOES. Truly heavenly. Yes, this dish is not for dieters, but if you want to indulge, this is the way. I substituted chicken stock for the demi glace (I didn't even have any beef stock, and used half and half instead of cream, but it was still amazing!

    i love steak. i have had a lot of different steaks and this is the best i have ever had. it was an easy recipe to follow and the outcome is amazing. very good no matter how you like your steak

    This recipe produced very good results, though I suggest reducing the pepper by as much as a third or using a blend of peppercorns. Using the the prescribed amount of entirely black peppercorns was a little too intense.
