This is the best bread pudding recipe I've ever tried. Truly. It rivals the bread pudding I had in 1992 at New Orleans' Pascal's Manale restaurant, which up until last night, was the best bread pudding I've ever had. I served this at our family Christmas dinner and everyone loved it. The hard sause was delicious. Well worth the calories!

Im 14 and this was one of the best dishes I made so far. A person that I invited said it was even better than her mom's.

Made this pudding for 40 guys at a firehouse dinner and it was awsome. 40 fireman full of ribs and chicken found room for the pudding.

My boyfriend's favorite dessert is bread pudding so I thought I'd make it for him. He loved it! Was also a hit with a group of friends I served it to! Although I thought the sauce was delicious, it made the pudding a little too sweet for my taste. Will however use this recipe again! Thanks and bon appetit!
