Love this recipe. It's definitely a hit, but I do make two modifications. I cook them at 275 for 2 hours in the oven then set my grill up for indirect heat and cook on low for another hour. And instead of the spices in the recipe, I use a rib rub. Best ribs you can make without a smoker!

I absolutly love this recipe for ribs. I only used the apple juice since I did not have bourbon and omited the red pepper flakes for the kids. I used are favorite bbq sauce and they turned out fantastic. I will continue to make these since they are easy and so delicious....

Cover the ribs with foil and do NOT pour the liquid over the rubbed ribs. Rather, place the ribs on top of the liquid, cover tightly with tin foil, remove foil for last 30 minutes and then grill over medium heat for about 10 minutes max, adding the bbq sauce during the last 5 minutes.

i read the correctioons made by Alyssa's friend and these ribs were terrific. The house still smells so good this morning that I can still taste them. If done following her friends corrections they can't be beat! Thanks friend!

I LOVE bbq ribs and this recipe has been the tastiest one I've had yet!! It was flavorful, tender and oh so finger-lickin-good!! You've gotta try it~ it's an easy recipe! I baked mine at 300 degrees for about 2~2.5 hours.....perfect.....I removed the foil and just turned up the oven to 350 to finish them off in the oven, instead of the grill. It was so tender that I didn't think I'd be able to flip them on the grill.
    Enjoy!

I've made these ribs several times and it always comes out perfectly tender and delicious. However, I agree with the other reviews about the discrepancies in the online recipe and the show. I personally cut the bourbon to 1/2 cup and chili flakes to 1/2 teaspoon for the braising part for the kids but here's what I did:

    1. DO rub the seasoning on the ribs. DO NOT pour the liquid on the ribs it will wash away your seasoning. DO pour the apple/bourbon mixture in your pan and place ribs on top.

    2. DO cover pan tightly with foil and bake at 300 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. Yes, your ribs will be pale from the braising but that's why you grill them.

    3. Instead of turning on the grill, I just cranked up my oven to broil and finished the ribs in the oven with the BBQ sauce. I kept the oven door ajar to keep a close eye on them. They will caramelize beautifully. DON'T walk away!

    Enjoy!

first time making ribs and they came out great. I listened to others and poured the bourbon and juice in the pan (not over the ribs, covered the pan with foil and baked at 300 for 2.5 hours. i halved the recipe, but added a little more bourbon in the pan and red pepper flakes on the ribs than called for in the recipe. my guests, big rib eaters, seemed very impressed.

I followed the recipe that Alyssa gave on the show. These are absolutly the best fall off the bone ribs ever! Everytime I cook them, I have to give everyone the recipe.

I could have sworn Alyssa herself said on the show to cook for 2 - 2.5 hours at 300 degrees.
