My mom used to make this back in the early 70's. The only difference is that she would add a little bit of grated sweet onion and would cube the cheese rather than shred it. Paula's recipe comes pretty close to my mom's and brought back some great memories.

I did not like the egg. I added green onion and mimi pasta shells, seasoned with Mrs. dash table blend. It was good.

I thought this recipe was fun, very easy and delicious. Its been a favorite of mine but I never took the time to make it myself until now so it will be added to a barbecue menu for flavor and color. Thanks Deen Brothers.

I do not like pea salad normally, but this was unlike most pea salads I've ever tasted. The lemon juice gives it freshness and having such little mayo does not weigh down the ingredients. The bacon, eggs, and cheese are a classic staple that tops it off with crunch and smoothness. Everyone at my barbecue who never liked pea salad liked this. You can't go wrong with this one!

I tried this with Hellman's mayonnaise, tasted a little bland and then added a heaping tablespoon on Miracle Whip and I liked that taste better. Will add onion next time as per other reviewers.

I have made this serveral times, and it is wonderful. But this time, I decided to add some green onion and dill to the mayo and lemon. I also use stick cheeses and cube them thin. I get the varity pack so I can put Colby, cheddar/monz. I don't think you can mess this recipe up. And you can add or delete whatever you want. Thanks boys!

My mom's been making this recipe for years and years, minus the cheese and adding diced onions and it's always been a favorite. It's so simple but it always gets tons of compliments! Even my vegetable-loathing husband requests it now and then...
