Great vegetarian dish! I use onion instead of shallots and omit the garlic because a family member is highly allergic, but other than that, I absolutely love this dish and make it all the time.

This was very easy, I put it over mini cheese ravioli's. Taste is fabulous! I added 1 more garlic clove, fresh thyme and some fresh ground nutmeg. Also, I used chicken broth(make sure to use lo sodium because I didn't have veggie broth. Yum!

I see this as a quick, somewhat tasty and satisfying weeknight dish rather than the five star masterpiece that so many other reviewers have deemed it. It's good comfort food, but nothing super impressive. Try subbing goat cheese for mascarpone for half the fat and a bit more flavor.

This was outstanding. I upped the garlic a bit and added aged balsamic at the end according to other reviews, but I'm sure it would have been great even without it. We were amazed at how good this was. Try the sauce without the pasta- It'll knock your socks off.

Def. a 5 because it only took me 15 minutes! Next time I will try adding tons more spices, garlic, and veggies.

It gets tastier the longer it sits. Soooo good and such a great base recipe that can be added on in so many ways ! I'm thinking grilled chicken or sliced ham next time - maybe some sundried or roasted tomatoes. I also think for a simple change just throw in some peas or edamame.

This was like ridiculously easy. I think it's great, but it doesn't have any kind of punch.

This was DELICIOUS! We loved it! Very easy too. Add a crisp romaine salad and a glass of white wine.................... Will make it again.

THE BEST. I've made this twice already and everyone loves it. So easy, so full of flavor.
    Thanks Giada

This is a really simple, tasty vegetarian recipe. I've tried it with a few modifications, like using only used baby bellas, adding several extra cloves of garlic and 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar. It's been a great meal time.
