The 4-step chicken is out of this world! So delicious, moist, and bursting with one of my favorite flavors - lemon! This affordable, creative recipe is a keeper. Congratulations!

Made this tonight--the whole family loved it! I also really like the way that Melissa breaks this down into four steps--its easy to remember and seems to be so flexible. I know that it is not exactly a new type of recipe, but thinking about it this way really helps to open my mind to different possibilities--such as Chicken Marsala--basically the same four steps--how easy! Oh, and I just realized that I forgot the butter at the end--it was still yummy.

Even my picky husband enjoyed this dish. It was easy to make and like another reviewer said it was gourmet -like. This is one of those recipes that you can throw together for the family and also serve at a dinner party to impress. We all enjoyed the sauce very much and didn't need to adjust anything. I can see the potential in adjusting the recipe for other recipes like adding tomatoes and capers and serving with pasta. I am in a slump after cooking the same things for over 20 years to my family and am really glad the judges chose Melissa. Food Network needs a new face with family friendly recipes.

I could not wait to make this after work tonight! I di d not have any lemon so I used a tablespoon of fresh lime (worked like a charm...just like she said - mix and match!! I also used a vidalia onion. My husband said it was a gourmet meal and had seconds. He loved it! The potato gratins were fantastic. I used cheddar and half and half. The kids loved the meal as well. I am so excited to see Melissa's show and continue to learn her tricks. I would love her e.z.p.o.t. recipe : Best wishes

Both the recipes & the chef. I do have to agree about the criticism of the judges that she appeared "frantic" in the beginning. But boy, did she only GET BETTER!! I printed out the recipes tonight & plan on making them soon, love the idea that the ingredients can be changed to whatever is on hand.

I would love for the programmers to realize that those of us that work would really enjoy seeing this type of show on in the evening. Although Duff & gang are interesting (I'm not going to do one of his cakes or order it- don't need to see two 30 minute shows. Alton's shows many times have good recipes, but you don't know what the topic will be very often. Diners & Dives - interesting to see these places but again - don't need to have two 30 minute shows in the same evening. Yes I know Rachel Ray's show, Sandra Lee show & many others are replayed on the weekends, but guess what? working women & men have other errands to do, their kids have soccer, baseball games, dance class, gymnastics etc. As for Sundays - I will not be able to watch Melissa's new show, because I'll be in church at that time most Sundays. At least I'll be able to watch it on the internet which is one good thing & I can always search for her recipes. Hey programmers - THINK ABOUT IT!! Ask us, the viewers when we would like to see the shows. Food Network might become even more popular that the News channels!!

We're on a gluten free diet around here, so I used our typical sorghum flour/potato starch/tapioca starch mixture to bread the chicken. There were mixed reviews on the sauce, but overall it received good reviews. I'll definetely be making this again! Go Melissa!

This put my husband in a wonderful mood after a long day at work. He couldn't stop talking in between each bite. We will be making this again and again.

Melissa...my family has cheered you on since day one of TNFNS (what a great show to watch with my kids on those lazy summer Sunday nights!. I just made the dish from what I gleaned from your pilot, since I found this written version after I finished cooking. It was amazing, my daughter even invited her friend from down the street to try it (they said my finished dish looked just like the one on TV!. Raves all around! I can't wait to see your new show. God bless you and your little ones. How exciting for you!

I made this chicken tonight for my family. No one would eat it! They tried it but didn't like it. The problem? Way too much lemon. If I made this again, I would cut down to one lemon or use something other than lemon.
