I made this tonight with boneless pork chops, I used a white onion instead of a red as well as some mushrooms. I used the juice of one lemon and one orange. I also substituted dried herbs de Provence. I served it on the spinach and it was awesome! Definitely good enough for a company dinner! Just the right amount of citrus, three lemons sounded excessive to me!

350 reviews, didn't get through them all. Have been using this 4-step since I saw her pilot, works on any meat. My family's favorite is to use orange instead of lemon. Squeeze a couple of clementines/cuties, add a little more OJ from the fridge, and some italian seasoning/ herbs - Yum! We just serve it with buttered rice.

just like other reviews, i cut down the lemon juice to half. i didn't want my sauce to be too sour or tangy. it turned out great!

I love Melissa, but this recipe definitely did not deliver. The chicken by itself was relatively good, but the sauce was way too "lemony". I didn't even offer it with the chicken. I would make this chicken again, but would have to substitute the sauce for something else.

Is it supposed to be so tangy? This receipe wasn't all that great. I probably won't make it again. It really wasn't worth it.

I made this last night along with the individual potato gratins. I wish I had read the reviews because the chicken was very, v ery lemony. Next time I will reduce the amount of lemon juice to half of what the recipe calls for. I had some leftover crisp pancetta that I threw in for a treat. Next time I made it I think I will add some yellow or red pepper. A great, easy recipe that will definatley go into my 'rotation'.

This was so tasty! Having read reviews, I cut down the lemons to one but will add another one next time. I love the color the red onion adds to the plate. We had leftover collard greens from New Years and plated the chicken over this. The flavors complimented each other so well. Turnip greens would work, too.
Another winning idea from the winner! The 4 step idea is most helpful.

I am so excited to see this new Chef. I watched her pilot and was rooting for her all the way. Im a single dad and I'm sick of fast food restaurants. This is a recipe I can actually cook and she broke it down so easy...4 steps...and..its a flexible recipe...I love it! Never in my life have I seen a chef cook something on tv and thought....I can do that...It is delicious and and appropriate recipe for normal people to cook.
