The espresso is a great way to dress up the ordinary cc cookie; receives many compliments at every dinner party!

I baked this cookie (I am a complete novice and I thought that it was one of the best cookies i've ever had. I substituted the Espresso with French Vanilla(you can use whatever coffee you want and it was perfect. I also didn't use very many chocolate chips. The recipe calls for a ton.

The recipe as written is awfully stiff. I added an extra egg to make it workable. I'd also change to 3/4 C brown and the balace white sugar next time to make it less 'crunchy'
