This is the first apple pie I have made from scratch and it came out so good that my family thought I had been making them for years.

Very easy, tastes great. Crust can be adapted to a savory pie too. A must try.

I've made many apple pie recipes and this one is a real keeper. I used just picked pippin apples and they were just tart enough. I did bake the pie about 20 minutes longer because the apples weren't quite done enough in the time alloted by the recipe.

This was the first time i ever made an applie pie in my life. My husband and his whole family absolutely loved it. i would def recommend this recipe to anyone looking to make an easy and very delicious apple pie for the first time, every time! I followed the recipe exactly and but i used granny smiths and it was delicious. This one's a keeper.

I made this when we had friends over for 'movie sunday', everyone raved about it and there wasn't a crumb left! I'd never made pastry before but this was so simple i'd make it again - go ahead make it, you'll love it!

I had never made a homemade pie crust before, let alone a whole pie but this recipe was sooo easy! The apple pie not only turned out great, but I also used this same pie crust recipe for homemade pot pies, I usually buy store bought(premadecrusts never again! They were great everyone enjoyed them. What a great recipe it was so much easier than I ever thought homemade pie crust making could be. Thanks for the great recipe. I will enjoy making them for years to come and my family will enjoy eating them.

My better half and I stopped at an orchard in Ellijay, GA.on our way back home to FL. We bought an 1/2 bushel of Gala, and an 1/2 bushel of McIntosh.I came to this site to find many recipes to use the apples. This is the 1st recipe I've tried. YUMMY!! I baked the pie with the Mcintosh cut in big chunks since it's not a baking apple. It worked for me, and this is now my only apple pie recipe, I've thrown out all others. You'll enjoy this pie we did.
