I first saw this show a few years ago and had never baked a cheesecake because I was intimidated by their complexity. I tried this recipe and my family raved about it. It has become a family favorite and I make it for holidays, and special dinners. One thing to keep in mind is to allow it to set up for the time indicated, at a minimum. On one occasion I didn't allow enough time for set up and it was runny, although still scrumptious. I'm making today for our Easter dinner tomorrow. This is the only recipe I'll use for cheesecake, it should be called Crack and Foolproof Cheesecake.

I have been on a quest to bake the perfect cheesecake. And I have tried several recipes. This is the first time baking a plain basic cheesecake and it is the far best of it all!! It did not crack and it was really so creamy!! The only mistake I made was probably taking it out of the oven too early as even after a whole night in the fridge, it was still a tad bit runny in the centre. But it was still so delicious. I am definetely going to bake this again....and again...and again!!

This is the first cheesecake I've made that really didn't crack! I did have to bake it an extra 10 minutes--maybe it's my oven. Topped it with a berry compote-really good!
