Simple ingredients and instructions, restaurant-quality results! Using a culinary torch or standard propane torch from the hardware store works much better than the broiler. A real vanilla bean, although expensive, does add nice flavor.

I am no chef- but these still came out perfectly! I would say its as good or better than any I've had in upscale restaurants. The custard is super creamy- and the superfine sugar is pefect to melt quickly for your torch. I even popped mine in the freezer for about a minutue after torching them and they were so crispy and delicious. I'm going to make these for christmas dinner as well. WOW! thanks Tyler!!

This was by far the best creme brulee that I have ever tasted. Tyler Florence provides the easiest, most straight forward recipes that yield absolutely fantastic results. It was delicious! I have never made creme brulee before, but this recipe was so simple and easy to follow that it came out perfect. I can't wait to make it again.
