Easy to make and the ingredients are readily available. My husband loved it. I only made the sausage, next time I will try the mash.

The delicious and spicy, crispy combination of sausage and onion plus the mash texture and flavor... Oh goodness. The tomatoes and chips didn't add anything -- and I won't make them next time.

The onions were VERY sweet (not in a good way and VERY greasy (too much butter and oil. I was skeptical to add the sugar so just added 1/8 of a cup and found it to be too sweet. Then the potatoes were too bland, so I had to add brown sugar and salt and put them through the food processor, which made them MUCH better. The tomatoes were decent, but nothing special. If you do decide to make this, I say swap the sugar in the onions by adding it to the potatoes instead.

This recipe is great :- We grilled the polish sausages on our gas grill outside and cooked the onions inside.

We put the sausages on hotdog buns and topped with the caramelized onions and bbq sauce. Will try the potatoes and tomatoes later.

    A wonderful recipe!

All of the components of this are great. I love smoked sausage and the sweet carmelized onions and savory sweet potatoes complemented them well. I highly recommend this!
