A true pie maker has their own crust specialty for apple pie which can be substituted for the one here (I used a sour cream based pastry but the melding of apple and caramel type flavor really sets this pie off as the best EVER!

This is the best recipe for apple pie ever!! It takes a few extra minutes of preparation, but is easily worth it.
