Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons butter, room temperature

Directions

Heat cream in a sauce pot. Poor hot cream over chocolate and corn syrup. Stir to melt chocolate. Add vanilla and room temperature butter and mix to combine.

    Very easy and just what I was looking for. I substituted semi-sweet for bittersweet and it was perfect with the red wine I enjoyed with it.

    I've always made something similiar to this, using the corn syrup as well as the other ingredients. I just try to use good quality chocolate and pure vanilla. I like the fact that it tastes good without the addition of any type of alcohol. Thanx! JK
