Don't bother with this recipe. The marinade did not go well with the fish. The marinade turns out to be more like Worcestershire Sauce or A1 Steak Sauce - not the best combination with tilapia. You're better off sticking with just a little lemon juice.

The vegetables didn't cook well under the fish, and the marinade was too strong and not particularly tasty. I ended up throwing the dish out... Fresh tilapia and a more dilute marinade may have made some difference, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this recipe to anyone.

I LOVED this sauce for tilapia. It is the perfect amount of flavor that compliments the fish and you can really taste each element in the sauce.

NOTE: I didn't have lemon zest, so I just used twice the lemon juice.

I have used this marinade for grouper and orange roughy. Outstanding!

When I tried this recipe, I thought that the ingredients seemed a little strange, and I was real unsure about it. Boy am I glad that I went with it anyway! Delicious!!

I'm sorry but I didn't care for this at all. Maybe the mistake was mine: I marinated the fist for 1 hour instead of 20 min, thinking it would allow the fish to absorb the flavors better- perhaps what happened is that the lighter flavors got overpowered by the strong ginger and soy sauce flavors as more time passed. Could that be it? Otherwise I followed the recipe to a tea. Any suggestions anyone to get better results? Otherwise, I would not make this ever again. Too much work for less than pleasing outcome.

Very good flavor combination, I usually go light on the peppercorns, otherwise the kids can't handle the heat. I make this often and everyone loves it!
