We make these for cookouts at least 4 times a year and they are always the first thing to go. The variety of beans is great. Take the base recipe and add what you like. I have tried jalepenos, green peppers, pork BBQ, etc...Two thumbs up most definately!! They will be your future go to baked beans.

Just the baked beans recipe I was looking for. All kinds of beans in a yummy sauce with all kinds of meat. I added some sliced green pepper for extra texture and flavor, and some chopped extra browned bacon to the mix, and the result was a recipe to add to the "keepers" book. Two thumbs!

I've made this twice for two different parties and received compliments at both events. I substituted butter beans for pinto beans, and held back a tiny bit on the pepper as recommended. Also added 1 lb of cooked and drained ground beef for a different texture and it turned out great. This one is definitely a keeper!
