Excellant Cookie !
Had no trouble making these. I followed the mixing directions exactly, Only I added twice the amount of orange zest. I also, did not refigerate long and used the sugar-ball method of baking in 350-degree oven for about 12-minutes. Love them !!! Will make more. TN in Michigan.

best cookies ever and easy to make. I used almond extract instead of orange zest, though. Gives it a more Christmas taste!

Great go-to sugar cookie recipe. The flavor is very nice and I like how versatile the dough is. I've used it for Christmas, Halloween and other non-holiday cookie baking. I definitely recommend this throughout the year.

this is great recipe, however when you put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours, the dough is to hard to roll out. So I microwaved and it got soft and was perfect. I made this recipe in a pan that had cut outs already, The less dough I put in each cut out, the better the cookie was. I also only baked them for 10 minutes and they came out much better.

Cookies were yummy... Like said in others don't roll to thin, otherwise an easy recipe for a beginner to start baking... I dont have much workspace in kitchen and didn't need it for this recipe... TY

I have used this recipe for the past couple of years and each time they turn out perfectly. The orange zest is a must! It adds a special touch that sets these cookies apart from just regular sugar cookies. I have had no problem with rolling out the dough. Great recipe.

This recipe was easy to make and very tasty. The cookies had a crunch and freshness to them. I dipped them into melted chocolate and they were very good. Instead of buying already made dough, just make these. They require few ingredients and they do not take much of time to make. I left them in the fridge after dipping them in chocolate and they were delicious. I recommend this recipe!

I love making roll out/cut out sugar cookies but always have trouble finding a doug recipe that makes easy to cut out cookies...this was a first for me! Plus, I enjoyed that the dough had somewhat of a teacake taste and wasn't overpoweringly sweet. The only negative (and the reason for the four stars was that if the dough was cut out somewhat thin it became really crisp when cooked. Otherwise wonderful recipe!
