This would of got 5 stars if I would have omitted the cinnamon. My husband and I both disliked the great amount of sweetness we tasted because of the spice. Maybe a dash would be OK, but not 1/4 teaspoon. The crunchy outside was excellent; I didn't even use half as much oil to brush on. TASTY!

Tasty meal - my favorite part was the crispy outside. I think the inside could use a little more moisture - maybe some sauce or extra sour cream.

This recipe is amazing, from the filling, to the sauce, to the fact that it's baked and crispy. I love that it uses rotisserie chicken. I just used the whole chicken and a little extra sour cream, and this made 7 chimichangas. It was just for my husband and me, and we ate all the leftovers in a matter of days! This is definitely going into the regular repertoire!

Made these last night and the whole family was happy. The only thing that was hard was preppping - lots of chopping, but otherwise its relatively simple and worth all the effort! The cinammon definitely adds a delicious element to the dish. I was wondering how they would come out without being deep fried but baking them after basting with the butter/oil leaves them crispy and perfect. The only problem I had was they cooked up faster on the 2nd side in my oven, so next time I need to remove them after about 6 minutes on side 2, not the full 8 minutes. The sauce is easy to make and wonderful on top. This ia keeper for sure...now we have something besides tacos and enchiladas to make at home!

Hubby and I made these for our weekend meal. We pared it with homemade Spanish rice, slices of avocado, homemade re-fried beans, & a homemade salsa. We thought the idea of baking it would be something different. I've eaten these myself at Chi Chi's and I don't think they are that close to the real thing. I did enjoy the cinnamon and cumin flavors. I personally would have topped it with a nice Mexican cheese sauce & still would have had the cheese inside.

Everyone loved these! The crispy tortilla was wonderful and the cinnamon gave it a unique flavor. I used smaller tortillas so it made 5. The sauce was a nice addition. Now that I've made it once and know the steps, I think it will go together quicker next time. My kids asked for them again so this will definitely be a keeper!

This was great! Especially since the chimi's were not deep fried. Very flavorful. The Mexi-sauce was also very good. I will make this when I get a craving for Mexican food.

I was absolutley blown away by this recipe! I called my sister right after eating to share it with her and will be emailing to another friend. It took a bit of time to prepare but well worth it. I will definatley prepare my own before ordering out again! Like the other review I was skeptical about the tortillia being crispy but it was. Thanks for the new recipe!

i had no idea that i could get something so close to the real thing at home.
this really is easy to do given you use rotisserie chicken and the flavor is out of this world.
i was skeptical about getting the crunchy outside of a chimi just using the oven, but it worked! it was so good, the hubby wanted one for lunch today!
